This order was founded by:

This order grew in India because:
β Mughal rulers respected it

So, Naqshbandiya Sufis remained loyal to rulers β especially due to shared Turkic origins.
π Growth During Mughal Period
After Babur conquered India in 1526, this order helped revive Islamic teachings.
A key figure was:
π Khwaja Muhammad Baqi Billah Berang (tomb in Delhi)
He introduced the Naqshbandiya order into India.
π Rise During Akbarβs Time
At first, the order stayed quiet under Akbar.
But later, a great Sufi emerged:
π₯ Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi (1564β1624)
He was:

β called Mujaddid Alf-e-Sani
